Mary Anne Galapagos Motor Sail
If you’re a sailing enthusiast, a history buff, or just someone with a great sense of adventure, look no further than the Mary Anne First Class Motor Sail. This 3-masted barquentine is one of the few vessels still sailing the archipelago, though of course, she has a modern motor to take over when the winds and currents aren’t as favorable as necessary to keep up with her carefully planned itineraries. Traditional details include wood-paneling, floors and furniture throughout the ship and nautically-themed brass accents, making her ample social areas that much more charming. Step outside onto the sundeck and smell the fresh sea air or relax in the library with the TV and DVD before partaking in a delicious meal on board. Her crew of 8, plus a bilingual National Park guide, will take great care of you. And although a journey around the archipelago on the Mary Anne may feel like an adventure from a bygone era, rest assured that you will have access to modern tools for discovering the incredible aquatic wildlife: snorkel gear and kayaks are both available on board.
The Mary Anne has capacity for 16-passengers in a total of 12 cabins. As is the case on the majority of Galapagos sailboats, most of them feature bunk beds, while 2 of them have a lower double bed without the upper berth, making them perfect for couples. And if you’re traveling solo, it’s great to know that the Mary Anne Galapagos motor sail does not charge a single supplement. All cabins are air conditioned and have their own private bathrooms. Porthole windows provide natural light.
